Craibosch Blaricum urban plan finalised
Blaricum's municipal council gave its final approval to the Craibosch urban plan during the council meeting on 5 November. This decision follows the earlier signing of the Superior Agreement by the Blaricum municipal council, DHG and Berkley Investments for the redevelopment of the former Tergooi hospital.
Eugen Kool – as Managing Partner at Rosewood Investment Managers responsible for Craibosch – is obviously pleased with the council’s decision;
‘This is obviously great news for us. I really think that with Craibosch we have the potential to develop a unique and sustainable residential care landscape. The strategic location of the area – in the middle of greenery – gives people in the Gooi region a future perspective close to home. Something that is not there now, on this scale. With all the care facilities you might need or to simply live there nicely later in life. With the green light we got from the municipal council, now is the time for the next step and working with the team towards a final design.’
A unique residential care landscape
The urban plan provides for the development of a unique residential care landscape on the outskirts of Blaricum. The project comprises around 100 social housing units, 180 medium-sized rental/purchase units, 120 private sector units and around 280 care units.
Temporary infill
In the meantime, while the procedures are being completed, parts of the former hospital have been temporarily let to various organisations, including Vivium, RAV, COA and some smaller tenants. This temporary infill ensures socially relevant use of the space until the start of the development phase.
